Best Wall Mirrors

The Spruce / Amelia Manley

A well-chosen wall mirror can enlighten any space and give it a decorative or utilitarian edge. That is why Atlanta-based interior designer Kevin Francis O'Gara says wall mirrors are among his favorite pieces of home decor. “They can completely transform the architecture of a room,” he says. “Whether they add light, symmetry, or just add dimension to a room, I always incorporate a mirror somewhere in every space I design.”

After researching dozens of options on the market, considering their style, functionality, and overall value, we landed on the Kate & Laurel All Things Decor Nobles Radius Framed Wall Mirror as our top pick. It has a modern yet versatile look that would suit a variety of spaces.

Below, the best wall mirrors for your home.

Best Overall
4.7Kate & Laurel All Things Decor Nobles Radius Corner Framed Decorative Wall Mirror

What We Like
  • Versatile

  • Functional

  • Suits all decor styles

What We Don't Like
  • May be too large for small wall spaces

This beautiful yet simple rectangular mirror is equal parts modern and traditional, making it a perfect choice for virtually any space. In addition to its crystal-clear reflection, it features a notably stylish metal frame (available in black, gold, and silver) that envelopes the mirror itself. While this mirror is super simple, it does feature a point of interest with its negative space style elements on the top and bottom portions of the frame.

This mirror would work well in an entryway, bedroom, or bathroom. At 20 x 36 inches, it’s just short of oversized, yet it does reflect an almost full-body view from a reasonable distance away. Compared to others of its size and quality, this mirror is exceptionally well priced—in addition to being a stylish statement piece, it’s a great value for the money.

Price at time of publish: $190

Dimensions: 20 x 36 inches | Weight: 15.81 pounds | Materials: Glass, metal | Shape: Rectangle

Square Mirrored Wall Decor Decorative Mirror

What We Like
  • Excellent value

  • Good for smaller wall spaces

  • Easy to hang

What We Don't Like
  • Less durable than other options

From just looking at this mirror, you wouldn’t guess it has such a reasonable price tag: the design boasts a high-end feel that adds a touch of sophistication to smaller wall spaces, as well as gallery walls in need of a little extra love, or something a bit different from the norm.

The design brings visual interest to any space, thanks to its concentric geometric shapes—a square surrounding a circle. The overall effect delivers clean, modern lines that blend beautifully with contemporary decor styles, as well as transitional styles. More of a traditionalist? Consider this piece a design-forward departure that can add contrast to the rest of your space.

This mirror is well-constructed, albeit perhaps not quite as durable and long-lasting as others on this list, as it’s made from engineered wood. Nevertheless, it’s worth its price tag.

Price at time of publish: $25

Dimensions: 12 x 12 inches | Weight: 4.09 pounds | Materials: Glass, engineered wood | Shape: Square

Kate and Laurel Hutton Round Mirror with Shelf

What We Like
  • Built-in shelf feature

  • Solid wood

  • Works in many spaces

What We Don't Like
  • On the pricey side

  • Wood can be heavier to hang than other options

This rustic brown circular mirror lends a stylish flair that could work perfectly in a farmhouse-style decor scheme, a transitional scheme, or even a midcentury modern decor scheme, making it a super versatile option for many styles of decor. At 30 inches, it’s relatively large but not so large that it takes up an entire wall in most cases.

It’s made from solid, high-quality wood, which means it will last an extremely long time with proper care. Perhaps the best part of this mirror, however, is its built-in wooden shelf feature, which allows for displaying small to medium decor objects. Alternatively, it can be used as a nook for dropping off keys, mail, and other miscellaneous objects that might otherwise clutter up an entryway.

Price at time of publish: $278

Dimensions: 30 inches | Weight: Not listed | Materials: Glass, wood | Shape: Round

Westway Metal Framed Wall Mounted Mirror

What We Like
  • Ample size

  • Excellent value compared to other options

  • Stylish arch design

What We Don't Like
  • Only one color option

  • Will not work in smaller spaces

An arched mirror is among the most stylish mirror trends as of late, so it’s no surprise there are many options to choose from these days. This one gets our top pick, thanks to its mirror clarity (no warping), its simplicity in its frame, and the excellent value it offers compared to similar options in terms of shape and size.

Speaking of size, this mirror provides ample reflection space, thanks to its arch size of 36 inches by 24 inches. On most walls, this sizing allows for reflecting most of the body from a few feet away. That is why we love this mirror for hallways and entryways, where you might want to check your outfit right before walking out the door. The simple gold frame works well with many decor styles, though if wood or silver is more of your decor scheme, it may look slightly out of place.

Price at time of publish: $150

Dimensions: 36 x 24 inches | Weight: 13.86 pounds | Materials: Glass, aluminum | Shape: Arch

Umbra Misto Mirror

What We Like
  • Art piece

  • Frameless, modern design

  • Gift-worthy

What We Don't Like
  • Reflection is hazy due to decorative elements

Prepare for an influx of compliments with the beautiful Umbra Misto Mirror, which practically doubles as a piece of artwork. The pill-shaped oval mirror has a simple yet striking design, with a misty pink ombre accent that starts at the bottom and finishes in the middle of the mirror. The base is entirely opaque pink for a touch of color. Admittedly, the middle and top portions, though not opaque like the bottom, are mistier than most mirror surfaces; while that makes for a striking decor statement—and, of course, still functions as a mirror—it’s not quite as clear as your typical mirror. That is something to consider if functionality in terms of reflection is your key concern. Otherwise, if you’re simply looking for an accent mirror with extreme style, this is an excellent choice to liven up any room.

Price at time of publish: $140

Dimensions: 18 x 36 inches | Weight: 8.32 pounds | Materials: Glass | Shape: Oval

Seletti Wall Mirror Gold Wooden Frame Lipsticks 23" x 21"

What We Like
  • Unique design

  • Italian-made

  • High-quality construction and artistry

What We Don't Like
  • Pricey

  • Doesn’t work in all spaces due to out-there style

While this may not be your typical makeup mirror, it would certainly make a stylish statement piece in anyone’s makeup room or vanity space. The design features an ultra-fun beauty-centric design that’s sure to make you and your guests smile. (That is why we’re almost positive that this mirror would make a perfect gift for makeup lovers in your life, too.)

Seletti is a stylish Italian brand known for its quirky designs and high-quality construction. In addition to the fun design, this mirror has a bit more of a story than your average object. We love the shape, too, which is not quite oval and not quite square, but somewhere in-between for a unique touch. This mirror is rather pricey considering its size, but the details, quality, and uniqueness warrant the higher-than-average price tag.

Price at time of publish: $472

Dimensions: 23 x 21 inches | Weight: Not listed | Materials: Glass, engineered wood, brass | Shape: Square

Roma Wavy Wall Mirror

What We Like
  • Funky, trendy design

  • Easy to mount

  • Holographic surface

What We Don't Like
  • Less practical than others

  • Made from acrylic, not glass

From couches to side tables, the curvy decor trend has been everywhere lately—and that extends to mirrors, too. The Roma Wavy Wall Mirror is a playful piece that will surely make a statement in your bedroom, living space, or even entryway. At 65 inches long and 35 inches wide, it’s a full-length size that’s perfect for checking your outfit before heading out the door. The cherry wood frame adds a classic touch to this otherwise trendy mirror that makes it slightly more versatile than similar options.

Price at time of publish: $499

Dimensions: 65 x 35 inches | Weight: 55 lbs | Materials: Glass, wood | Shape: Wavy

Shaw Arch Decorative Wall Mirror w/ Rope Trim

What We Like
  • Earthy, organic style

  • Half-moon shape

  • Excellent value for money

What We Don't Like
  • Manufactured wood not as durable as solid wood options

  • Very specific style; might not go with all decor styles

This striking boho-style mirror has a few design features that are worth considering. For one, it has a trendy arch-style cut that, in addition to staying on-trend, allows for versatility in terms of where and how it can be hung. (Why not flip it on its side for a half-moon shape, for example?) We love the rope trim, which gives it a super earthy, organic feel, thanks to the all-natural materials that complement any organic, breezy, or boho-style space. (Hot tip: Try this mirror as part of a gallery wall to add additional texture and interest!)

In addition to the hemp rope trim, this glass mirror is reinforced with manufactured wood. The wood, while not entirely solid or of the highest quality, is sturdy enough to allow this mirror to last for a few years or more. Moreover, the less-expensive nature of manufactured wood (vs. solid wood) allows for this mirror to offer an exceptionally wallet-friendly price point, making this a great option for budgets, too. Not to mention, this mirror is great if you’re not entirely sure you want to carry the ultra-trendy boho style over into your space in the next decade or so.

Price at time of publish: $127

Dimensions: 36 x 29 inches | Weight: Not listed | Materials: Glass, engineered wood, hemp rope | Shape: Arch

World Menagerie Grid Accent Mirror

What We Like
  • Stylish and modern

  • Art-like piece

  • Lightweight

  • Affordable

What We Don't Like
  • Not as versatile as other options

The World Menagerie Grid Accent Mirror is a statement-making wall mirror that's sure to elicit compliments from guests. We love this option for entryways and hallways, where it’s sure to be seen by all who visit. It’s worthy of showing off: its bronze grid finish oozes luxury, while the mirror itself will reflect light and have an enlarging effect on your space.

This piece is also extremely functional. Given its size of 44 x 32 inches, it’s large enough for you and your guests to do outfit checks or touch up makeup. Depending on the placement of your furniture and interior design choices, you can also use the D-ring hangers to mount the large mirror vertically or horizontally. No matter what, you'll get a mirror that's sure to stun.

Price at time of publish: $218

Dimensions: 32 x 44 inches | Weight: 10 pounds | Materials: Beveled glass, plastic | Shape: Rectangular

SimpleHuman Sensor Mirror Wall Mount

What We Like
  • Numerous color options

  • Adjustable arm

  • 5X magnification

  • Motion sensor light

What We Don't Like
  • Relatively small

  • Motion sensor can be finicky at times

A good vanity mirror often features illumination and magnification—both of which are imperative for precision in daily makeup and skincare routines. This one offers both of the aforementioned features, with bright LED lights that turn on with motion sensors and impressive magnification capabilities. It comes in an array of stylish colors, including brushed steel and rose gold, so it's easy to find an option to match your space, whatever that may look like.

We love how this mirror can be mounted to the wall, but, thanks to its extendable arm, you can collapse it when you’re not using it. Installation is relatively easy, though it does take a bit of time and a drill.

Price at time of publish: $205

Dimensions: 13.8 x 9.1 inches | Weight: 2.6 pounds | Materials: Glass, brushed stainless steel | Shape: Round

Modern & Contemporary Frameless LED Lighted Bathroom Vanity Mirror

What We Like
  • Anti-fog glass

  • Adjustable LED light

  • Extra-large

What We Don't Like
  • Tricky to install

  • No magnification feature

Another option for your vanity, this extra-large option also delivers an LED light feature, making it a win for anyone who likes to spend lots of time doing their makeup or skincare. The LED light has an adjustable brightness feature, too, so it’s perfect for an ultra-bright, clear image, or for mood lighting at nighttime.

Measuring 40 x 32 inches, this mirror is on the larger side, so it will take up much of the above-the-sink wall space in many bathrooms. Feel free to experiment with vertical or horizontal placement, depending on the size of the space you’re working with. This mirror is well-priced compared to other options of its size and caliber, with a price tag that’s only a fraction of some other similar options.

Perhaps the most alluring feature of this mirror is its fog-resistant surface, which allows for the mirror to remain crystal-clear and totally functional even if you’ve just stepped out of a hot, steaming shower. (No need to wipe it down or wait for your bathroom fan to get rid of the fog!)

Admittedly, this mirror isn’t the easiest option to assemble, particularly given its massive size and its LED light wiring, which may require the help of an electrician, depending on your bathroom's electrical setup.

Price at time of publish: $379

Dimensions: 40 x 32 inches | Weight: 19 pounds | Materials: Glass | Shape: Rectangle

 Cloudnola Reflect Wall Mirror

What We Like

The Cloudnola Reflect Wall Mirror is a great choice for many styles and budgets. From playrooms to kitchens and gallery walls, it’s a simple frameless beauty that is anything but boring, thanks to its pop of color and leather hanging strip at the top.

This mirror is available in pink, white, and black. At 16 x 16 inches, it’s a great size for many different uses. It’s also lightweight and easy to hang, thanks to the hole at the top of the leather strip that’s designed specifically for hanging purposes.

Dimensions: 16 x 16 inches | Weight: 4.39 pounds | Materials: Glass, engineered wood | Shape: Round

Final Verdict

It’s hard to go wrong with the Kate & Laurel All Things Decor Nobles Radius Corner Framed Decorative Wall Mirror, which straddles traditional and modern thanks to its shape and simple frame. If you’re looking to make more of a statement, look to the Umbra Misto Mirror, which has a stunning gradient effect that will elicit endless compliments.

What to Look for in a Wall Mirror

Function

As you’ll likely be using it every day, the functionality of your soon-to-be mirror is important. “I like to consider the function of the mirror first,” says O’Gara. “Do you need a full-length mirror for outfit checks?” Perhaps you need a more decorative mirror to complete a gallery wall. “Sometimes, living and dining rooms don’t necessarily need the functionality of a mirror but benefit from a reflective surface, in which case an antiqued finish would be a great choice,” adds O’Gara.

Size

You’ll also want to consider the size. Measure the wall space first, and from there, “opt for as large a size as can comfortably fit on the wall,” says O’Gara. “I say bigger is better when it comes to mirrors!” In addition to adding function in many cases, mirrors reflect light, which can add a breezy, bright vibe to any room.

Shape

Mirrors come in an array of shapes, including traditional styles like rectangles, squares, and circles. These days, arch shapes and wiggly or irregularly shaped mirrors are also trendy. “Wall mirrors can often add a ‘window’ to a room, so choosing a shape and style that relate to the architecture of the space is always a good idea,” says O’Gara. “Since mirrors already reflect the decor in your space, I often find simpler frames look best in busier rooms, and vice versa. Choose a shape and frame that contrast your existing decor to provide balance.”

FAQ
  • How do you hang mirrors on a wall?

First, make sure the mirror has hanging hardware installed. Next, figure out where you want to place the mirror on the wall, and mark where the wire or other hanging hardware will sit. Drill a hole for the screw, hammer in the nail, or place whatever hanging device you are using on the mark you've made. Make sure to follow the directions on the mirror itself to ensure you are using a strong enough hanging device.

  • How do you arrange circle mirrors on a wall?

Arranging circle mirrors on a wall is a matter of personal preference. Figure out how many circle mirrors you want to hang, where you want them to be on the wall, and how far apart you'd like them. Laying them out before you make any marks or drill holes will make the process much easier.

  • How do you remove glued mirrors from a wall?

First, cover the mirror to prevent cracking. Then, place wood shims between the wall and the mirror, but avoid forcing anything. Using a crowbar, gently work the glass away from the wall, starting at the top, being sure to maintain an even pressure. When you get toward the bottom, support the top of the glass with your other hand to prevent it from falling.
