Mine came and didn’t work properly. Emailed company one night. By the morning they emailed me saying they were shipping another one and send the broken one back. I’d say that’s customer service!!

The clock is great and fits in well with my decor. Although the setup instructions could have been a bit more helpful with setting the actual time. Took a few tries to get use to and gauge when the clock actually starts counting.

great styling, have had a few of the number faces come off at the beginning. Easy to put back on and haven't had any issues since. Clock loses about a minute a day. I'll try putting in fresh batteries to see if that solves that issue.

How does the display work?
The Texttime uses a split-flap mechanism — physical cards flip into place each minute to spell out the time in words. No digital screen, no LED. Purely mechanical.

What does it say instead of numbers?
It displays time in plain language, for example: IT IS TWENTY PAST THREE.

How do I set the time?
Set the clock to 12:00 first by turning the time-setting knob on the back clockwise. Then advance forward to the correct time. Always move clockwise only.

Wall or desk?
Both. The flat base allows it to stand on a desk, shelf, or console. A keyhole on the back is used for wall mounting.

Is there a second hand or ticking sound?
No second hand. The split-flap cards create a soft mechanical flip sound once per minute.

What batteries?
2 × C batteries (not included). Replace when the flip mechanism slows.
